City of Seattle Utility customers may sign up to pay their Seattle City Light bill (electricity) or their Seattle Public Utilities bill (water, sewer, garbage) through the Automatic Bill Payment Program on a recurring basis, without additional charge. The Automatic Bill Payment program will allow the City of Seattle to deduct your utility bill amount from your checking account on the bill due date.
Please review the City's Utility Customer Policy and Procedure Agreement. You may complete the City of Seattle Authorization for Automatic Bill Payment on-line and submit it electronically or, if you prefer, complete it on line and send the printed authorization by U.S. mail to:

We encourage customers to pay both Seattle City Light and Seattle Public Utilities bills by automatic deduction. After we receive your authorization, it will take approximately three weeks to set up your account(s). Your bill(s) will show "AUTO PAY" in the "Amount Due" box and funds will be withdrawn from your account on the dates shown in the "Due Date" box.
