  The Automatic Bill Payment Program is a recurring payment option for customers that receive paper bills. We encourage customers to sign up to pay both their Seattle City Light bill (electricity) and/or their Seattle Public Utilities bill (water, sewer, garbage) through this program. There are no additional charges.

If you receive or would like to receive your bill electronically, please do not sign up for this program. Instead choose our paperless, self-service option for both your electronic billing and recurring payment.

Paper Billing Customers

The Automatic Bill Payment program deducts the amount of your utility bill from your checking account on the bill due date.

To Sign-up/Update: After we receive your authorization, it will take approximately three weeks to set up your account(s). Your bill(s) will show "AUTO PAY" in the "Amount Due" box. Funds will be withdrawn from your account on the dates shown in the "Due Date" box.
